Our Alliance Partners

Emerging Options has a network of alliance partners globally, who we work with to build on the experience and insight gained from working with compex adaptive systems. We also use our network to provide additional support and reach for clients whose needs extend globally. Currently we have alliance partners in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Singapore and the Philippines.

Cognia has its genesis as the communications company "Planet Earth Films P/L", originally a film and TV production company run by Mike Carroll. With over 20 years experience in management and communications for a broad range of international audiences, Mike has consulted for business and government, founded entrepreneurial businesses, authored numerous reports, scripts, pitch documents and outlines for a wide range of clients, and has written, directed and produced television advertisements, documentaries, dramas, and online media. He is an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award winner and has worked extensively with organisations including the BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic and the Discovery Channel.

Cognia brings Mike's understanding of systems theory, gained through his extensive science and natural history film work, together with his twenty year engagement with communications and narrative, to the pioneering new landscape of organisational complexity management.

Cognia is dedicated to the promotion of effective new ways of approaching the problematic and confusing circumstances that society now faces; to the support of holistic thinking that embraces the interrelationships between all parts of the whole; and to the actualisation of the possibilities for positive change in business and in society that are revealed in complexity's emergent space.
